The QUALITY OF the WORD determines the QUALITY of your WORLD…not only externally, but internally.
Concerning the mystery of Christ and the Church, Ephesians 4:25-27 tells us that our Groom, the Christ gave Himself to us in love that He might sanctify and cleanse us with the washing of water by the word. As a result of this washing and cleansing by the WORD, we would be presented, be glorious, without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish.
- The Word of Christ Spoken in me- makes me presentable, pulls my wardrobe together.
- The Word in me makes me glorious, weighted, substantiative, lavishly and excessively full.
- The Word in me is a stain remover for the times that life spilled a mess on me that became apart of my fabric.
- The Word in me irons out the kinks, reinvigorates the worn, aged places, applies heat to the rigid fabric that has shifted into a different position-restores me back like new.
- The Word in me makes me Holy, distinctive, set apart, a bearer of the image.
- The Word in me erases my flaws and makes me perfect.
Here’s where I’m captured: Jesus says to His disciples. You are already made clean because of the Word I have spoken to you. John 15:3 Contextually, He is talking to the disciples about abiding In Him and HIS WORD (HE) abiding in each of us. So we understand that it’s not just a matter of audibly hearing WORD or a matter of only speaking…BUT the issue is abiding WORD. A word that’s been living, breathing, settling, residentially housed IN YOU.
We’ve already been made clean because of the WORD spoken and abiding in us. You can choose DIRTY TALK or you can choose TALK that makes you clean!
This means Jesus has already said some things to me that have already cleared and cleaned me. Before one wrong action could ever be committed, I was CLEANED by the WORDS. Should I make a wrong step, If I turned around and accepted the WORD of Truth, instantly it cleans up my mess and restores me entirely. My righteousness and my cleanliness has less to do with doinog the right thing. I do the right thing because I have embraced my STATUS with Him…No, Forrest Gump: Clean does what CLEAN IS. Which do you live by? Are you clean and therefore your behavior reflects that reality. Or will you just wait for your actions to determine your status. The latter seems more problematic to me because I would be allowing an external occurrence to determine an internal and eternal truth.
What is meant by you are already CLEAN? Jesus is saying that His WORD and the Word we release in agreement with HIS WORDS PURGES us and removes the debris and clutter from our Spirit.
The Greek word used there is a relative to the word we use call Catharsis. Catharsis can be described as the process of emotional release. Psychology describes it as the experience of expressing deep emotions that were beyond consciousness and once that discharge takes place, it alleviates the symptoms of other conditions that were resulting from the repressed emotional expression.
In essence, that would mean that WORDS, especially those WORDS of Christ that He has already spoken, have an ability to purge out the deepest of unconscious conflicts that cause us to act in contrary ways to the TRUTH of our identity. The right WORDS can bring to life the hidden things and remove that which is connected to the symptomatology of an INAUTHENTIC identity. THE right WORDS relieve us from the tension of emotional bondage that restricts movement into destiny. Our words can release us from Prison and cut the ties that suffocate and entangle us. Or our words or the lack thereof can ensnare us and keep us repressed and burden, growth choked out by the remains of filthy deposits from life.
Yes, we do need to talk it out. The right words clean us, prune our lives, and bring us into fruitful productivity. Hearing and confessing His thoughts about me cut back the dead stuff and open me for NEW GROWTH, NEW LIFE, and FRUIT that remains. We can be washed by the Words and cleaned by the Words. Begin to rehearse the WORD over your life and see how it cleans you up and washes you…OR just settle for DIRTY TALK.
Hey Min. Cory, I understand so much better! I truly apologize for the old questions. I agree with you on the washing of ourspirit by the words that Jesus has spoken over us and our destiny. I guess I wasn’t a dirty talker, really had no body to talk like that to.,didn’t see the inference you were making. you are really so wise I have to read ur blogs 2x . Sometimes I feel a lil slow Lol However I don’t let that untruth stop me at all. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom and thr truth!!!
