Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
The high priest can identify with the feeling of your infirmity; but can we identify our own feelings? There is room for the experience of emotions in the spiritual life, contrary to the notion advanced by some “positive thinking-religious” people. Emotions are data…treat them as information and you might be surprised what you discover is happening within you. Emotions are transient; they do pass. So we ARE not our emotions, but they give us an indication of how we are processing life (the current state of our being).
Hey Min. Cory. it is great to hear your thoughts on feelings. I know that Jesus is able to feel our infirmities, being touched by them. Right now I am hurting like I’ve never hurted before. I need prayer, I lost my friend, son, protector,check-uper. The man in my life since he was sixteen.I am trying to live up to the emotions, but I feel dead inside right now. I also know that God has me in the palm of His hands, that kind of keeps me grounded. you are a blessing to me and i give God praise for you with your worship and really caring, I can feel it too.
