PERSPECTIVE: Holocaust survivor, author, human rights activist and Nobel Prize Winner Elie Wiesel received a midnight call telling him that he had lost his entire life savings, as well as $15 million from the the foundation that he and his wife had worked on for more than 40 years because of investments made with Bernie Madoff.
During her interview for “Super Soul Sunday,” Oprah asks Professor Wiesel, “What was the first thing you did [after you received the news]?”
Professor Wiesel says that he and his wife, Marion, just “looked at each other, and our reaction was, ‘We have seen worse.'”
MY GOD! That’s perspective.
