I visited South Africa this year and (did I mention that’s my home?LOL–>inside joke) Among many of the amazing experiences I was introduced to one of the incomparable sounds of South Africa’s worship, the Premier Worship Pastor Solly Mahlangu. I happened to ask one of my new brothers to introduce me to the sound of South African gospel. So we visited the mall and he pointed this CD out to me. When I made it to the room, I found myself playing the CD and DVD non-stop for two days. When we attended the service for the last night of the conference at the church we were worshipping with, I noticed the drummer. I thought he looked familiar and then I figured it out, that he was the drummer from this new project that I had been introduced to. So totally unaware, I hear them announce there is going to be a guest artist and they say his name….YALLL (chills as I recall) I went bananas. I mean like Justin Bieber/Michael Jackson jumping and screaming to the top of my lungs. And I ‘clare he did not disappoint. The next day I had an opportunity to personally meet him. He is a SOUND all in himself. I bless Him and I would like to introduce you guys to my South African worship leader Solly Mahlangu.
