It’s the place where singers are dancers. Dancers are musicians. Musicians are dancers. And a kid can be a kid. No one is divided by their craft or their age. It’s a place where your skill and art do not separate you from one another. The gathering is intergenerational: the children worship God as children. The senior saints worship and are engaged in a way that honors the grace on their lives. Everybody dances, everybody sings, everybody is an instrument. SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN TO ME!
Diversity is valued and not just tolerated. Every person is celebrated regardless of skill, ability, or religious history. NO JUDGEMENT!
Pulls me out of the traditional African American worship experience. I learn some really great sounds and songs that build my relationship with Jesus.
There’s so much humility displayed among the Faculty and practitioners (conference attendees). No Gospel Superstars and No recording artist-celebrity stuff.
Real emphasis on the expression of worship from every person, not just the people who are leading. It’s a meeting where even if you are not given to a particular artistic skill, your worship capacity will still be impacted and upgraded.
It’s inexpensive and I get to lay my head down in my bed every night!
The theology is sound, deliberate, and prominent. If it’s not in the word, it’s not spoken. Great diversity in course offerings as well. (Wonder if I’ll take a dance course this winter conference).
Talk about free flowing! Spontaneity, prophetic expression, intercession, and limitless creativity are encouraged in this atmosphere.
No matter at what level you find yourself in your artistry, you will be sharpened. You are always both the student and the teacher.
Down home people who just want God. The sense of community and connection there is superb. I feel that God enjoys being there and because he does He always brings His GLORY with Him.
I’ve attended this gathering over the past 6 years and one of the things I really thank God for is the sense of glorious anonymity. I have an opportunity to discover, journey, and grow without any hype and hoopla and expectation that is required of leaders in their church. There’s no judgement and I have an opportunity to experiment without responsibility for my congregation. It’s a safe place and Oasis for me. Every experience from communion, to worship watches, to the Israeli Folk Dancing is a weighted experience in my life. I have not forgotten one encounter. I started with the night sessions when I wasn’t certain and then I moved to the day sessions. Give it a try: If you can attend the day, go for it! If not, at least come for the night sessions. You’ll definitely be rewarded.

I heard dat Sabay will prepare the poarrgm MUSIC Award this year right?It’s so good to see that event in our Cambodia cause we never have it before! But i wish that only singer that have own song (I mean the song that not copy from the other contry) who could get that Award because if a singer who sing the copy song and get that award all Cambodian will look so bad from the other country that we have star get a COPY award!Sic
